There's a version of "changing your career" that most people picture without even realizing it: years of school, a mountain of debt, a slow crawl toward something that might work out. It's the default story, so it's the one people tell themselves — right before they decide it's not worth it and go back to whatever they were already doing.
Here's what that story leaves out: not every path looks like that. Some of them just look like a decision.
Illinois real estate licensing doesn't require a four-year degree. It requires 75 hours of coursework, a state exam, and a school that actually prepares you for it. That's the entire structural difference between "someday" and "already done" — and it's smaller than most people think.
What 8 days actually looks like
At I Love Real Estate School, our Accelerated format runs Monday through Thursday for 8 class days. It's live on Zoom, taught personally by Art Bettuzzi — real-time instruction, with a real person walking you through the material and answering questions as they come up. Art's been doing this long enough to know where people actually get stuck, and he built the class around that.
By the end of those 8 days, you're not "getting started." You're ready to sit for the Illinois state exam.
Why the short timeline doesn't mean a shortcut
People sometimes assume "fast" means "watered down." It's the opposite reason our students pass at nearly twice the statewide average: because 8 focused days with a real instructor beats months of half-attention squeezed between everything else in your life. Compression isn't the same as cutting corners — sometimes it's just better use of the time you actually have.
Who this is for
This isn't only for people who want to become full-time agents tomorrow. Some of our students are testing the water on a side path while keeping their current job. Some are ready to walk away from something that's not working for them anymore. Some just don't want to keep waiting for a "better time" that isn't coming.
What they have in common isn't a life circumstance — it's that they stopped waiting for the four-year version of the story and looked for the real one.
